Taylee Update

Well that scary night got worse. After we got home from the ER, she did not really improve. The ER doc said she should be herself during the day, and then we might have another scary night. Well around 2:30 I had my neighbor Kym come over and look at Taylee, she thought I needed to take her into the Doctor. So I got her an appointment for 3:45 and they did a couple more breathing treatments and sent us home. Well a couple hours later she was getting even worse. So I was going to take her back to the Doctor, but they told me I needed to go admit her into the hospital. So now it is 7:30 pm and I start making plans to get us to the hospital. My mom got in the car to come up and my sister in law Heather came over until my mother in law could get over and wait for my mom. Heather had her husband come, and along with my neighbor, they gave her a blessing. Heather, bless her heart, came with me to the hospital and they immediatley gave her a breathing treatment that did not go well. By the time we got to the hospital her lips were blue and she was so pale. It took 5 of us to told Taylee down to get her to breathe in the treatment. The whole time she was screaming to get off her. It was probably the worst experience I have had, at least in a while. Then she had some xrays and then she needed another breathing treatment which went so much better. She sat up and held the mask on herself. That was the last treatment she had to have. The xrays showed that it was a severe case of croup and she will have to be watched carefully from now on with any respiratory illness. But she was able to get some sleep that night and we hung out the next day. We almost had to have another breathing treatment, which would have made us stay another night, but they gave her some more oral steroids and that eased her attack. She would like to go back, because they catered to her every need. When she gets better she is going to have a hard time adjusting! If it wasn't for my Mom, Heather, and Kym, I seriously could not have made it through. I was supposed to have a candle party last night, but Kym moved it to her house so I didn't have to call and explain to all those I invited. Which was huge, since she doesn't like to have parties! Her and Heather also showed up with delicious dinners. I was taken care of very well and I hope that someday I will be able to help someone like they all helped me. I just feel so grateful for all the help I recieved. It is hard to except help sometimes, but i appreciate so much.

Scary Night!

So last night, or shall I say this morning was little scary. I feel like I handled my self quite well considering I am extremely emotional right now! Taylee's voice was a little horse before she went to bed, but she hasn't been sick or even any sign of a cold. Jared had to fly to Myrtle Beach last night (plane left at 12:00am, nice, huh?) so I stayed awake until he called to tell me they were taking off. Right after, Taylee came in my rooming crying and gasping for air. So I got her some water, got the humidfier going, and tried to get her to breathe a little better. That wasn't helping so at 1:30 am we bundled up and went and sat out on the front porch. That helped her breathe until we were so frozen we had to come in. So then I steamed up the bathroom and we hung out in there for awhile. That seemed to help and she was able to sleep for about 30 min. Then she woke up and her breathing was really bad. I tried the shower thing again, but she was crying and her little chest was sinking in with every breath she took. I started to get scared at this point. So at 4:30 am, Taylee and I headed for the emergency room, where she had a couple of breathing treatments and some steroids. They think she has croop. She is doing a little better today, but her breathing is still strained, they said it will get worse again tonight. If so we are just supposed to come on up to the emergency room again. I sure wish Jared was home for this. It was just so scary because she went to bed fine and woke up gasping for air. Hopefully she will be fine tonight. If you drive by in the middle of the night and see us hanging out outside, don't be to alarmed!

I have been getting a little bit harassed by my neighbor Kym for not posting enough. So here it goes. This is about Porter. He cracks me up everyday. I could sit in his room and watch him play for hours. Well, I do for probably one hour. That could explain the disorder of my house. But it is worth watching and playing with him. I think he is going to be a neat freak. Which is totally fine by me. If only he would teach his sisters. Today he was playing with his remote controlled dog, until he noticed that Taylee had one of her Care Bears in his room. He went and picked it up and put it away in her room (where it actually goes). It was one of my prouder moments as a mom. And before, as he was getting his dog out of his closet, he knocked of few other toys out of his bin, so he picked them up. I just love him. I have one more thing to say about him. When ever we give him some food in his high chair, he won't eat it until we pray. He just sits there with his arms folded. It is adorable. Maybe I should take a picture of it! Next time! I'm done now bragging about my little man!

Here we go again!

Well here we go again! Number 4 is on its way! Wow that's alot of kids. I am due May 5th, so I am 8 weeks. We went to the doctor last week and I thought for sure I was having twins or I was further along. But there is just one in there and I am right on schedule. I am showing so much. Even at 5 weeks you could tell. Oh well I'm just going to be getting bigger and bigger. I have been so sick and so tired. Maybe because it's my 4th, but its kicking my butt. I hear each pregnancy gets harder, but I don't like to think about that right now. Anyways, that's our big news right now.

Coupons! Coupons! Coupons!

Yes, I have started clipping coupons! I have been hearing all these stories about people saving all this money, and so I was interested. I have tried to cut back in all my other shopping areas, and groceries were the only thing that I didn't think I could. But let me tell you, you can! Let me tell you about what I got last week. I spent $16 at Albertsons and I got stocked up on cleaning supplies. I got 4 bottles of Pine-Sol, 6 bottles of 409 cleaner, and 5 tubs of Clorox disinfecting wipes! It was alot of cleaner and I was pretty impressed with my self. This week I am getting the bags of Malt-o-meal cereal for $.25 a bag! That's right $.25. I can't even believe this stuff. i get so excited saving money. I used to get so excited spending money, but hey, times have changed! If you are interested the website I use is www.grocerysmarts.com and you have to have a passport and it is g84roc! Let me know how much money you save!

Taylee's Crush!

We went to Lake Powell this summer with 5 other couples. The owner of the houseboat's son brought along 3 friends. They are all 13 I think and are in 8th grade. Anyways, they are really cute kids. On the trip you would have thought that Taylee turned 13! She was so boy crazy, like I have never seen before! Even for our family pictures on Monday, to get her to smile we would say Hayden's name. Another one of the boys she likes lives just down the street and she draws pictures for him and we HAVE to take them over to his house. Here is a picture of 2 of the boys that Taylee was crushin on from Lake Powell, Hayden is in the white t-shirt and Braxton, our friends son is in the blue shirt. They came by our house today, but Taylee wasn't home. They are such good sports to this insane little 4 year old!

Family Pictures

On Monday night we went and had our family pictures taken. We have not done that since I was pregnant with Porter, so it was time! Veronica Reeve took them and she did a fabulous job. We took them in downtown Ogden on historic 25th street and the train station. I did not know all the cool alleys and great shops down there. Usually getting pictures is nightmare, but it was actually a really good time. There were no awkward poses, it was all very natural and I could not be more pleased. I gotta thank my friend Nicole for referring me, thanks, and I'll make sure you get your free picture from her. If you want to see some of the pictures she took of our family go to http://www.veronicareeve.blogspot.com/. I would put them on my blog but I have been trying for an hour now and it is not working, so you'll have to go to her blog!

Taylee says the darnest things!

I am going to start writing down some of the funny things my kids say. Mostly for myself, so I can remember them. Today I asked Taylee who she played with at school and this was her response, "Pretty much just some hot girls. They were really pretty." What? I don't know where she came from. Jared says we should be glad that she hangs out with the hot ones and not the ugly ones! She is going to be the death of me I already know.

Computer Issues

Well I haven't been able to post any pictures of all the happenings in our life. My computer is apparently out of memory and so I can't download any pictures. Who knew I could fill up a computer. Anyways, I am pretty bummed because I have some cutes ones. I'll have to play "catch up" when I get a new computer. We have been looking around and talking to people about how much memory and ram we need, but I still have no idea. I don't want to have to pay a fortune, but I don't want this to happen again either. So if any of you have recommendations, I need some advice. I don't know what to get.
Kambree and Taylee have both started school. Kam's in the 4th grade and Taylee's in pre-school. It is heaven! I hate saying that, but sometimes it's nice for the the fighting to stop. Kam's busy most nights with soccer and Taylee will be starting soon. I am an offical "soccer mom". The back of our car is filled with chairs, quilts, and umbrellas. It's fun though. Kambree plays for La Roca which is a comp team. And they play alot of soccer and she loves every minute of it. Well that's about it. Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon!

My Birthday!

Well today for my birthday my kids did the cutest thing. Usually Porter sleeps till around 10, but of course not today. I heard him a little before 7, but I just left him cause he will usually go back to sleep. Then I heard that the kids got him and were getting him breakfast. Cute huh? But is gets cuter. Then I started to hear pans banging around and then I heard Kam crying. So I run in there and she is on the floor. She apparently fell off the counter trying to get the ingredients to make my favorite breakfast, blueberry muffins. The effort was so nice. Then they gave me my present, it was a cute card all decorated with their drawings and inside a wrapped Jell-o box with a bunch of money from their piggy banks. It was so cute I started to cry. They are the best kids in the world, even if they do drive me crazy sometimes. Thanks kids for making my birthday the best!!!

Yuba Lake!

We recently met my parent's at Yuba Lake for a little boating fun! Thanks Mom and Dad! Jared and I did a little surfing behind the boat. It was sure fun. On Jared's last run he snapped the rope getting up. Who knew he was such a big boy! The bad thing is that we borrowed the surfing stuff from his friend, so we will be buying him a brand new rope! Can't wait! You gotta love Yuba Lake.

My family getting ready for a tube ride. Where Jared's life jacket?

Porter was a little onry until this happened! He sleeps with his blanket in his mouth!

I always enjoy the shade!

This is Porter before his nap!

This is something that rarely happens, Jared driving the boat! My Dad's boat is considered sacred so it is a little scary driving it. But Jared's ready to take it to Powell now. Dad, you don't mind, right?

South Weber Days!

Well this week was South Weber Days in our little town. There were activities all week long. On Friday night Jared and I played in this adult game kinda like survivor, with 2 other couples. Jared was so upset, we were not very competitive. Our team took 3rd...to last! On Saturday there was a parade, park activities, and a awesome firework show. I had Jared's family all over because we have a great view of the fireworks. I forget how big his family is until we are all together. There are 28 of us + 1 because my sister Jami was there too and that was fun. Anyways, the kids played on a big water slide and just when I was getting dinner out, it got really windy. So we all ended up in my house. For those of you who know me, this would normally make me need to take some sort of medication, but it was great! Who knew we would fit like we did. It was a little crazy, but it was all good times! Jared and Brad (brother in-law) had a great pre-firework show for us, but it was still too windy. Luckily the wind died down and we were able to go out and see the big fireworks! Here are some pics I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Some of the cousins relaxing in the pool!

Just some of us gathered in the little shade there was!

Some of the cousins enjoying the slide!

My 3 kids!

Jared is probably too big for the slide!

Kambree taking Porter down the little slide! She is such a good big sister!

My new blog!

Well, I started another blog! I started one about 6 months ago and have done nothing with it and now I can't remember my username or password, so I just started a new one. Hopefully I have caught this blogging bug and will stay up on it. The problem is I don't download my pictures very often (every 600 pictures or so)! So maybe this will help me stay up on it.
